Thai massage was introduced to the world by a doctor named Shivago Komarpaj, a physician who performed his practices  over 2,500 years ago.He worked with Buddhist, monks, and nuns from different areas, using many techniques he eventually developed a healing technique known as Thai massage.

Massage and other therapies have been taught for centuries, used in Buddhist monasteries and within families, where the knowledge was passed along orally for the most part. Even today, many children are taught massage methods by their parents and grandparents. The Thai technique uses “sen” lines (energy paths), overlapping with meridians found in Chinese medicine as well as Ayurveda. Thai massage is a total body therapy that is both relaxing and tension relieving.

What to expect in Thai Massage?

The session will incorporate a series of yoga-like stretches, combined with gentle traction, and pressure-point massage that follows the body’s energy lines, or sen channels. Hands, palms, elbows, and feet are used with bending and stretching in yoga postures. This extraordinary massage helps relieve tension and lubricates joints. It also increases vitality and awareness, allowing you to achieve a deep state of tranquility. It is performed on a cushioned floor with the client wearing comfortable clothes that allow for movement. Jaiyen can provide suitable clothing at no extra cost. Thai massage does not incorporate oil, balm, or lotion.

Thai Herbal compress  has therapeutic benefits that help restore the body’s health by helping to reduce muscular pain, and soothe your skin by opening the pores and bringing a medicinal heat to muscles to induce relaxation.     For 30 minutes you can have your back cleansed and massaged. This treatment includes a purifying double cleanse, with the warmth of the steam, manual exfoliation, a luxurious masque, and finishing products that will hydrate and repair your skin!

 We follow it with a full body exfoliation using soothing ingredients to relax aching muscles and rejuvenate skin. As your body drifts into a state of relaxation, dead skin cells are removed, then you will be cocooned in a warm wrap with a rich French clay or an organic moisturizing cream to soften and nourish the skin. Great place with a serene vibe. The Thai massage blend is cool with lots of stretching and deep work. Folks are sincere and caring. Though it is known for its Thai body work, I've gotten the best, old school Swedish massage from Jennifer several times now. Truly releasing and pure heaven. The best Swedish massage in town is at a Thai spa! Great prices, super people, I'm done with overpriced Sebastopol dilly dally massage spas.
